The brand-new Idyllwild Arts presence on Spotify gives the Idyllwild Arts community—not to mention the entire world—a chance to enjoy the latest creations by a Music Department that abounds in talent.
Simply search Spotify for “Idyllwild Arts.” The first contributors are all current students, but alums are invited to join.
The Black History Month Concert on Sunday, March 21, held on campus in the William M. Lowman Concert Hall in front of a masked and physically-distanced audience, highlighted two of the student composer-performers included in the Spotify roster. Joe Davis performed remotely from his home in Jamaica and Oriana Gidi of Mexico, though she is boarding on campus, also performed remotely.
Joe and Oriana are joined on Spotify by Aminta Skye—featured with Joe in a recent high-profile celebration of the inauguration of Kamala Harris as Vice President of the United States—and by Francesca Londono, Katrina Cheng Roshan of Malaysia, and Alejandro Yelin Filtzer of Mexico.
More current students are expected to join soon. But no one who checks out the performances by the six Idyllwild Arts students who are already on Spotify will be disappointed.
